Walking via the mind
For Andrew Ren, photography is a joy. It is a bridge that connects the inner side of himself to the outside world. He tries to train his eye, and combine it with a constantly improving craftsmanship. He believes this combination of abilities is essential.
Andrew Ren is a self-taught photographer. He sees his career as a process, a wonderful journey that he will take for the rest of his life. It is like a race that could be won by stamina and endurance. It’s all about purifying oneself.
Andrew Ren uses B&W sheet film with a large format camera equiped with two lenses.
As for the prints, there are two kinds of them: limited edition of traditional hand coated platinum/palladium prints and Inkjet prints on pure cotton rag.
